Joe Lieberman: "Barack Obama hit me!"
by Walid
Obama "Negotiates" with Joe Lieberman(Washington D.C.) Ucs News--Returning to the Senate after his securing the Democratic presidential nomination, Barack Obama was greeted on the Senate floor by the Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman. The men meet each in the Well as they were voting on the budget resolution. Everything seemed normal until the Illinois Senator punched lieberman in the face.

According to witnesses They shook hands. But Obama didn't let go, leading Lieberman - cordially - by the hand across the room into a corner on the Democratic side. Democratic sources tell Ucs News that Obama then delivered some tough words to the junior senator from Connecticut, who had just minutes before hammered Obama's speech before the pro-Israel group AIPAC in a conference call arranged by the McCain campaign.

Lieberman resisted Obama, choosing not to be lectured by the Illinois Senator. After a brief scuffle Barack decked the Connecticut Senator. Lieberman was then assisted by his Republican colleagues.
