Todays query was received from Bubba Gooch of Greenswamp, Alabama. He asks:
” I have two horses and am having trouble telling them apart. What should I do?”
A: Nick one of the horse’s ear,” I told Bubba.
Bubba contacted me again. ” I did what you said, but somehow the other one nicked his ear, and I have the same problem. ” I suggested to Bubba that he cut one of the horse’s tails shorter than the other. Again, Bubba wrote me.
” I did what you said, but the other horse must have got his tail caught in some brush and they are both the same length now!”
My final suggestion to Bubba was to measure the horses and see which was taller, as nothing could change that.
In his final contact with me, Bubba sent his thanks…
“Thanks Dr. Sawtooth. I did what you said. I measured them, and the black horse is 4 inches taller than the white one!”
