CRAWFORD, Texas (Ucs News) – President Bush, took time away form his heated pool to
criticized Democrats for not extending the war. “I recognize that Democrats are pushing the peoples agenda but I’m The president and I want this war to go forward.” Bush said in his weekly radio address from Crawford, where he is on holiday.
The President has been spending time in the ranches pool on on the private tennis court while 7 more families faced the news of their loved ones would be returning home from Iraq dead. The President took a few minutes to address the nation. “Those peace loving Democrats see the emergency war spending bill as a chance to end the war ,” Bush said. “Yet for our men and women in uniform, this emergency war spending bill is what keeps them in harms way and far away from home.”
In response, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said Bush “still has in head in the sands of Iraq and just can’t see that more money and more troops is not going to fix the mess he created.
“It is time for the President and Republicans in Congress to stop trying to bully their way through this and work with Democrats to end the war,” Dean said in the Democratic party’s weekly radio address. “It’s time for President Bush to show respect to the American people, who voted to leave Iraq.”
Ignoring the election results Bush continues to demand that Congress give him $100 billion to continue loosing the war. The House and Senate have approved the money, but their bills aim to wind down the war by including timelines for troops to come home but ending the war is not something Bush will accept.
