George W. Bush Wounded in Green Zone Attack

(Iraq : Green Zone) Al Qaeda in Iraq successfully attacked the US green zone today. A massive car bomb destroyed several buildings and wounded 34 American personnel. Among the wounded was the US President George W. Bush and many members of the new Iraqi government.

Witness at the scene stated “The place is a mess, flaming cars and broken bricks litter the compound.” American troops were trying to secure the area but we under continuous mortar and small arms fire. The attack was carried out in response to the recent killing of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The main Insurgent web sites posted a statement immediately following the attach. “How dare George W. Bush treat our war as a photo opportunity!” Other critics of the Presidents policy in Iraq are thrilled that he can now enjoy some of the pain he has helped inflict on to others.

A US army spokesmen said the Presidents injuries are not serious. “He’s resting comfortably with a bruised ego and wounded pride.”
