In A Strong Show Of Support, George W. Bush Assigns Dick Cheney An Important New Mission.

February 21, 2006

Despite recent strong criticism and cynical humor at Vice President Dick Cheney’s expense, or because of it, the White House announced yesterday that President George Bush is putting Mr. Cheney in charge of a major new initiative, which one staffer has described as possibly the most important program of the Administration’s second term.

While the details of the new assignment are sketchy, the White House intimates that this new job, for which they say the Vice President is uniquely qualified, would probably occupy Mr. Cheney until the end of Mr. Bush’s term in office. Speculation is that it will also have a major impact on the Bush Legacy, as well as changing the course of America for years to come.

Unnamed White House Source Wegman (Pudgy) Waterhouse, speaking on the condition of anonymity said, ” We on the Bush side of the Administration are hugely excited by the Vice President’s new mission. While I can’t tell you much about it, National Security concerns you understand, I can say that it will occupy most, if not all of Dick’s time. It involves extensive travel to top secret locations, a lot of top secret memo’s and reports, with various unnamed people. Very possibly the American people will never know what exactly Mr. Cheney is doing, where he is, what he’s thinking
