McCain Capitalizes on Obama Flag Pin Controversy Ahead of Pennsylvania Primary

Republican front runner John McCain is making hay over the Obama flag pin controversy by proving his greater patriotism with a bigger flag pin. McCain appeared today sporting a flag pin that is a good six inches wide laying to rest any notions that anybody is more patriotic than he is.

“In a race that is going to be this tight it is important to win any advantages you can,” says Washington watch David Brooks. “If wearing a flag pin makes you patriotic then super patriots like McCain should be wearing bigger pins, it makes perfect sense to me.”

The Obama campaign has not commented on the new larger pin, but the Clinton campaign is said to be ordering an even larger pin for Mrs. Clinton.

The super flag pin was custom made for McCain by a supporter but new flag pins of similar size are already available on the internets.
