Nasa Shuttle program inks deal Anheuser-Busch's Marketing Department

(St. Louis : Ucs News) The King of Beers is well known as a pioneer in mobile marketing, but Anheuser-Busch’s first foray into space is guaranteed to cause controversy.

On the Heels of a Nasa report detailing alcohol abuse aboard the Space Shuttle the Marketing team at Anheuser-Busch decided “The Shuttle has proven it’s a vehicle with great public visibility.”

According to Nasa the Shuttle will repainted with the Anheuser-Busch Eagle while the external fuel tank will be redesigned to resemble a massive beer bottle.

The company might have been the first brand to take its message on the road when it introduced the Budweiser Clydesdales in 1933. But much has happened since then.

Flash forward 74 years, and Anheuser-Busch is flying into orbit While the Clydesdales are now handled by their own internal department, the rest of the No. 1 brewer’s mobile marketing magic is cooked up inside Anheuser-Busch’s Contemporary Event Marketing department.

Through its handling of multiple mobile programs, Anheuser-Busch’s Event Marketing has made the beer company a veritable mobile marketing powerhouse.

According to the Anheuser-Busch’s spokesman “Space is the final frontier for beer to conquer and as man moves forward to the Moon and Mars Budweiser will move with him.”
