It’s 5:30 A.M. and already a long line of men wait patiently outside the only DNA testing facility in this Caribbean country.
It’s all about a baby who may be worth millions.
Specialists flown in from the USA are busily taking DNA samples from hundreds of men who arrived from many countries, each claiming to be the one who fathered Anna Nichol-Smith’s baby.
Zsa-Zsa Gabor’s husband, Prince Frederick von-Anhalt claims the baby is his, as does attorney Howard K. Smith, her most recent lover.Entertainment reporter and photographer Larry Birkhead also claims to be the father of the baby named Danilynne Hope.
Wherever Dannielyn is, an American judge is ordering that the baby must be DNA tested by Feb. 21.
“The child is legally in domicile in this country [the Bahamas], and the child also has a right as an American citizen to travel to the United States. That’s not the issue,” said Sidney Collie, a Bahamian lawyer. “The issue is all of these individuals who are claiming to have legal rights to the child.”
Back at Smith’s mansion, locksmiths arrived to chain the gates. An American developer and another former boyfriend of Smith’s named Ben Thompson claims he owns the home that Smith shared with Stern. ” I’m certain the baby is mine.” he told reporters.
Frank Swinke, a Houston, Texas taxi driver, waited near the end of the line. ” I think she was the blond I had in the back seat of the taxi that night. Sure hope so….. that kid comes with a lot of cash!”
