(Dutch Harbor , Ucs News ) The Discovery channel producer Thom Beers is reporting Paul Teutul Sr. and his sons, Paul Jr. & Mikey have been found alive with the crew of the Alaskan Star. According to Alaskan Cost guard radio transmissions famous motorcycle building family was air lifted from Icy Akutan island in the Bering sea.
“The news of the rescue was welcomed by the entire Discovery channel family as well as the crab boat captains featured on the Deadliest Catch.” Said Mike Rowe host of the Discovery channels Deadliest Catch.
According to the Discovery channel the Teutul’s were in Alaska filming a guest appearance on the Crab boat Alaskan Star when a storm damaged the 187 foot vessel. Friends and relatives feared the worst when contact was lost late Sunday evening.
By Thursday evening the beached Alaskan Star was sighted at Akutan island and the crew rescued. According to Coast Guard officials the Teutul’s were taken in by native Alaskan fishermen.
While Paul Sr. and Jr. suffered minor injures from the adventure Mikey must have spent some time with the local girls. After a brief medical examination Dutch harbor doctors confirmed Mikey has a bad case of the Crabs.
“At least he caught something.” said Paul Sr.
