Polls Show Gingrich Confession: "Weird and kinda Creepy"

(UCS News) A new poll shows Newt Gingrich is “a little Creepy” or “a bit strange”. The national poll, taken after Gingrich’s outlandish confession, shows many are concerned about his erratic, sometimes bizarre and cruel personal behavior.

The former House Speaker Newt Gingrich acknowledged he was having an extramarital affair even as he led the charge against President Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky affair, he acknowledged that for a conservative like himself “The affair was inappropriate, borderline gross and makes me look like a big hypocrite.”

The poll results released today shows likely voters found the confession makes Newt Gingrich “Look like the worst kind of hypocrite.” Gingrich however denies the adulterous affair with a much younger congressional page was unacceptable behavior for a national leader.

When asked about Newt’s new religious zeal, many respondents criticized the politician. According to one Iowa voter, “Mr. Gingrich is not someone I want to have around, leaving his first wife while she had cancer, just isn’t right.” Other results indicate many find Newt to be “Weird and kinda Creepy”.

Widely considered a mastermind of the Republican revolution that swept Congress in the 1994 elections, Gingrich remains wildly popular among many conservatives, despite his many moral failings. He has repeatedly placed near the top of Republican presidential polls recently, eventhough he has not formed a campaign.
