President Bush to Veto Spears, K-Fed divorce settlement

LOS ANGELES, California (Ucs News) — A week after emerging from a rehab center, pop star Britney Spears has reached a divorce settlement with her husband, Kevin Federline. However before the settlement went into effect the agreement was vetoed by President George W. Bush.

The agreement, which is subject to final approval of the President , was signed after a five-hour meeting between the couple and their lawyers Thursday in Los Angeles, Sands said. The settlement was them approved by congress and sent to the Presidents desk.

But a statement issued by Michael Sands, spokesman for Federline’s lawyer, said, “The parties signed an agreement which was a global settlement on all issues of their marriage and child custody, but the President did not agree with the timetable included in the settlement.”

A source close to the couple told Reuters they were shocked that The President would veto the settlement. “The American people have had enough of this, The President should end it now.”
