(Miami Florida, Ucs News) Princess Cruises announced today it would eliminate all alcoholic beverages from it ships to improve safety. After 2 more passengers fell from their balcony the cruse-line has made passengers well being its top priority.
Both passengers were rescued after a four-hour search and appeared to be in good condition, a cruise line spokeswoman said. The 22-year-old man and 20-year-old woman fell 50 to 60 feet from a cabin balcony, said Julie Benson, spokeswoman for Princess Cruises.
She said the cruise line did not know how they fell overboard but both appeared to be “hung-over” when they we rescued.
The captain then ordered the bars closed and wine cellars off limits. the ships crew were them instructed to confiscate all mini-bar keys as the ship was “going dry” for the remaining 4 days of the cruise.
The ships captain, Steven Reedsworth, faced thousands of sober and angry passengers dry policy slowing took effect Sunday morning. To clam the vessels inhabitants Reedsworth commanded the ships chaplain to organize AA meetings for the remainder of the cruise.
