The GOP Songbook: George Bush Sings "My Favorite Things"

Missile Defense and Conservative Christians,
Giving my army impossible missions,
Republican PACS and the money they bring
These are a few of my favorite things.

Each time a law’s passed, if I wasn’t all for it
I signed a statement that says I’d ignore it.
I act like a Jester, but think I’m a King.
The DOJ says I can do anything.

I sit at my desk and fill notepads with doodles.
Angela Merkel’s one hot little strudel.
But Karl Rove tells me I can’t have a fling
If I could it’d be one of my favorite things.

Girls in white dresses with private school vouchers.
Condi’s my girl; I’d be so lost without her.
She’s making the bells of democracy ring,
Cause Liberty’s one of my favorite things.

When my polls bite,
like a bee sting,
or I make Laura mad,
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad.

The war in Iraq hasn’t gone like I planned it,
They never threw flowers, I can’t understand it.
They don’t want me or the Freedom I bring.
I guess it’s not one of their favorite things.

Korea’s a pain and Iran is one too.
Putin’s the same, tell me, what can ya do?
The Flooding, the fires and the mudslides of Spring,
My energy plan may have caused all these things.

Record high prices for gas and home fuel.
Stem cells are safe, I’m a vetoing fool.
When my term is over I’ll sit on the board
of a company run by my good friends the Sauds.

(Repeat Chorus)
