(Washington D.C.) Unconfirmed Sources report that Mr. Trump has approved a name change for the Environmental Protection Agency. As of today, the EPA will be known as the Agency. The Agency run by the former Attorney General of Oklahoma Scott Pruitt will continue to be a cabinet level agency.
The name change became official at the White House today in a small ceremony in the Oval Office. Mr. Trump, Administrator Pruitt, Stephen Bannon and an assortment of new Agency staffers participated.
“I think this is good,” said Mr. Trump. “Getting rid of ‘Environmental’ and ‘Protection’ will save a ton of ink when we print the new letterhead. Not to mention all the useless people we can fire. I bet we could get rid of 2/3s the staff and budget and still have a good looking Agency.”
“The Agency will continue to exist as a fully funded part of the federal government,” says Agency Administrator Pruitt. “We are working hard to staff up the Agency so we can get on with the business of being an Agency. We are getting all the top deputies and assistants installed, it’s a very big job. ”
Pruitt when on to explain that removing ‘Environmental’ and ‘Protection’ is not just a cosmetic change for the Agency. He and his deputies plan on doing a complete removal of’ ‘Environmental’ and ‘Protection’ from every facet of the organization.
