New York- Martin Hasbrook, M.D.,a research psychiatrist at New York’s Neurological Hospital has just completed some unusual research which he says, indicates the following;.. men who are not real cowboys, but who wear cowboy hats are generally unpleasant people.
” Men who are not too mentally endowed, and who have little sense of humor and few social graces, compensate by wearing a cowboy hat,” says Dr. Hasbrook.
” While I have not positively established the reason for this, it seems that a childhood fascination with images of virile, domineering and often overpowering cowboys in comic strips and the movies cause these people with weak personalities to fantasize and role play by wearing a cowboy hat which they subconsciously think intimidates people.”
